New Hebrews Class

October 7th begins a new quarter for our SS class.

We begin the book of Hebrews. We shall spend allot of prep work learning some OT teachings from Exodus and Leviticus about the Tabernacle and Sacrifices and The Priesthood. Then as we study Hebrews these truths will be more significant to us. The OT focused in shadow form much of the Person and Work of Jesus as would be realized in His work.

Romans 13-14

Romans 13-14

Romans 13...
Part of offering ourselves as living sacrifices is to obey our governments as this is pleasing to God in view of the fact that the governments that are are there by Gods decree. The Christian life is a life of submission. We as Christians are not above the law. Some of the greatest testimonies of Gods people are in their time of trial in the midst of cruel governments. Jesus being the greatest example of trusting Himself to God while submitting to the Romans government during His own trial and crucifixion.

Romans 14...
Do not Judge and do not trip. We are not all going to agree on matters that are not of a moral nature. Paul says that's fine. However.... in your convictions be sure that they are motivated to glorify God. Do not judge your brother in his convictions. Do not trip.... Paul calls us to move above what we consider best for us and consider what is best for your brother Rom 14:13. Consider your brothers interest above yours. And above all....understand that The Kingdom of God is far above the does and do nots of this world. Rom 14:17
