Hebrews class begins

What a great first class. The book of Hebrews is written to exhort those that had been under the influence of the OT economy. The writer exorts the readers to move out from under the OT system and see that Jesus is the Christ and that He is far superior to all personages and works of the OT system. It is a book that has its roots in the Tabernacle. So much of the tabernacle and its activities are addressed in Hebrews. I ask the class to consider the book of Hebrews as the explanation of the greatest parable ever told. Note Hebrews 9:8...ESV

By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places is not yet opened as long as the first section is still standing(which is symbolic for the present age). According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper,

See the word symbolic ??? Its the greek word we get "parable". It's the word Jesus used when he spoke in parables. The writer of Hebrews has just said that the Tabernacle was a PARABLE !!!!

In a parable as you know ...its a story that has a real spiritual meaning. Each of the components of the story has a meaning in itself. Well so does the tabernacle....each of the components and people of the tabernacle tells a story and that story is realized in The Person and Work of Jesus Christ !! The Tabernacle is the greatest Parable ever told......Hebrews is the greatest explanation of that parable . Thats what this class will be about.

There were some questions in the class that were directed towards orthodox jews. I did some research and found this page.
